A Gentleman’s Rant: The Podcast Epidemic

YOU get a Podcast! HE gets a Podcast! SHE gets a Podcast! THEY get a Podcast! Every Got Damn Body got a Podcast…..WHY??!!!

There was a time that if you saw a person on TV, that person had some type of qualifications, something that made them important enough to talk on TV.

The people that gave us the news, or talked about sports, were people that had degrees and experience in journalism, communications, and broadcasting. You had to make real sacrifices to get on that TV screen. Now all you need is a microphone, a camera, and some fools to watch it.

We have hundreds of relationship podcasts with UNMARRIED “Experts” telling single people what they need to do to make their relationship work.

It’s insanity that anyone would pay hundreds of dollars to listen to a panel of negros who have not succeeded in doing what they are claiming to be helping your ass accomplish…but they got a podcast, so they must know something…FOH.

We even have podcasts dedicated to reacting to other podcasts.

You know who I blame…KIM KARDASHIAN!! I know what you are saying: “WTH does Kim K have to do with Podcasts?” Relax, let me land my plane.

It all trickles down, and Kim K was the person that made it cool and okay to become famous without having any talent or uniqueness to speak of.

When we allowed Kim K to get famous for doing something that we all do every day and every night, it eventually leads to where we are now.

We got negros that worked 2nd shift at Hardees telling us why Lebron James is the GOAT, and 200,000 people, including my ignorant ass, have clicked on this video and wasted twenty minutes of our lives watching it.

We all have opinions, and that’s cool. Those opinions should be kept between you and those that are connected to you. Attention and views from these opinions gives podcasters power, and as we all know, power corrupts.

You give a person without any credentials or substances behind their opinion the eyes and ears of millions of people, it’s going to become a problem, and that’s where I think we are.

Millions of people who think their opinions matter for no other reason but that they have them and the fools that listen.
