Atlanta has never been short on women who know how to make noise, but every once in a while,

somebody comes along who feels like they were made for the city. Enter BunnaB.

Before the viral moments, before “Bunna Summa,” before everybody started asking who this Atlanta girl

was, BunnaB was already putting in work and building her own identity.

Her breakout record “My Man”helped put the industry on notice in 2023 — and that momentum eventually landed her a deal with AtlanticRecords.

But getting the deal wasn't the end of the story.

The Atlantic chapter ultimately didn't go the way either side hoped.

Reports pointed to creative differences, and BunnaB eventually found herself back outside the major-label system.

This is where the story gets interesting.

Instead of disappearing, complaining, or waiting for somebody in a boardroom to decide when Atlanta was ready for her again… BunnaB went back to being BunnaB.

Independent. Unfiltered. And apparently MUCH more dangerous.

Her return to the independent grind has been anything but quiet.

“Bunna Summa” became a breakout moment, gaining serious traction and turning BunnaB into one of the most talked-about emerging rappers coming out of Atlanta.

And that's why her story hits different.

The label didn't make BunnaB.

BunnaB proved she could move without the label.

There's something very Atlanta about that — the confidence, the hustle, the personality, the ability to turn a record into a moment and a moment into a movement.

She's giving Southern rap.

She's giving personality.

She's giving star power.

And whether you call her the next rap sensation or simply the Princess of Atlanta, one thing is becoming harder to deny.

BunnaB is no longer asking for a seat at the table. She's building her own table.

The industry had its chance. Now Atlanta is watching what happens when BunnaB is in control.

Remember the name. She's #UPNEXT.
